Spotify app ‘now playing’ screen. The green thing at the bottom, where the volume control is in the iPod app, is the track position slider. Tapping the [i] or anywhere on the cover art pops up an overlay with the volume control and other things.

Android Spotify app ‘now playing’ screen with track details visible. No volume control here, unlike the iPhone version - the app relies on the presence of hardware volume keys.

Android Spotify app ‘now playing’ screen. This screen slides up from the bottom when you tap the large ‘play’ symbol in the middle of the toolbar, which I quite like. Tapping on the [i] or anywhere on the cover art opens the overlay with more controls.

Only the Android version of the app has a ‘Home’ view - the iPhone version only has Playlists and Search. Home lets you browse the same sorts of albums you’d presumably see on the home screen of the desktop app.
