ignoring the annoying use of the ‘considered harmful’, this is a good reason, from a reasonable source, to avoid the use of TinyURL (or equivalent) URLs in long-term archived material. For short-term stuff, of course, it’s fine.

gedit plugin that provides a file-browser view. Practically the only thnig that was standing in the way of gedit being a really quite spiffy IDE on it’s own. Not bad for the platform-default text editor.
