Best practices for generating Atom feed unique_ids. Old, but still good. Recently I’m becoming more concerned with this sort of thing - jerakeen.org now syndicates so much of my other content from across the web that I’m becoming concerned about the duplicate information I’m generating. I’m going to start also syndicating across the Atom unique_id of the remote resource, if applicable.
This leads to potential problems - the photo page on jerakeen.org, for instance, is different from the photo page on flickr. Should my page have a different unique_id? It’s not materially different content, it’s just presented somewhere else.
