Update: Zimki is dead. Dead dead dead. So Trawler is about as much use as a chocolate teapot now. I guess I’ll leave the page here for posterity.
Trawler is a (currently internal) Mac GUI client for editing templates, tests, code and files on a Zimki server (Zimki is a Fotango project that is my day job). Zimki exposes an XML-based meta-management API for editing the contents of your realms and Trawler takes advantage of it. This API will be public Real Soon Now (in the next release of the Zimki codebase) and when that happens Trawler will go fully open and public.
You can download a version of it from the main Trawler site now, but it’ll break as soon as we release the next version of Zimki - in opening up the API, we’ve had to make some incompatible changes. Fortunately, this won’t be happening again any time soon.. As soon as the changes go live, I’ll update the Trawler binary on that site and open up the code, and naturally there’ll be a Zimki blog entry about it.
